Deck the Halls and the Brand New Walls

This Greenwich Family can now breathe a sigh of relief. “This has been a long time coming. I’m happy this was able to happen before Christmas”.
This mom set out to create a first-floor room for her son living with a disability. She feared her son would have trouble moving and being stable as he aged and navigated around the house.
“Falling for him is life threatening. So, I reached out to Rebuilding Together Saratoga to see what my options were.”
After many conversations, the project was set to move forward and focused on creating a first-floor bedroom and accessible bathroom. “I’m worry free now that my son is on the first floor. It’s taken weight off my shoulders. He can be independent and do more things on his own”.
Funding for this project was provided by the NYS Homes and Community Renewal Access to Home program, NYS Affordable Housing Corporation, the US. Department of Agriculture’s Housing Preservation Program, Lowe’s, and donations from the Saratoga Builders Association and South High Marathon Dance Inc.
